We (the chairs) are really enjoying these great questions you sent to our emails and our wikis! Now, before leave for Paris, we would like to make a verification of belongings, technology, and supplies for this conference.
First of all, not only do we allow computers, we encourage it; iPads, iPods, iPhones, or other technological devices included. Each committee will have a projector. We also encourage that clauses or resolutions be directly made on a computer, so that you will be able to send it your chairs via email. This will save time for the chairs and for your debate in general. We are letting you bring devices that have the possibility of games, which means that we are trusting you to not play them, respect the rooms leaders i.e., the chairs.
Pacmun is trying to be an environmental friendly conference. This means that we will not be handing out pens/pencils or notebooks. We hope that you will bring your own supplies. A very useful tool for a good debate is a notebook to write notes such as: your allies and enemies in the debate, possible clauses, etc. We will be handing out notepaper and there will be admins.
We have been answering your questions via email for a while now and we hope that you won’t stop during the conference face to face. If you have a question about how your debate will go or a question about your committee’s topic, every chair can help you!
